I liked it enough. I’ve been watching the stream every Thursday since early 2015, and it’s very rewarding for me to see this story animated. But I can admit the show is actually just mediocre. I don’t think it’s terrible compared to everything else out there, but it’s not outstanding either.
The CGI dragons are so atrocious compared to the hand drawn characters and monsters that I kind of worry next season will barely be watchable.

Just finished this. This whole show suffered from bad direction. Mediocre stories can be compelling with good direction and storyboarding to better get across characters' relationships, internal conflicts, etc. I usually don't notice bad storyboarding, but this was BAD storyboarding. This is what happens when your $20 million budget goes to voice acting, terrible CG assets, and the B team at an expensive animation studio. Even then, the actors in this series can't be that expensive either. I don't know man, where did all that money go?

10/10 adaption. They skimmed and reset a few plot points, but it works much better as a season of television this way.
Keyleth/Marisha is vastly improved, and everyone gets their standout moments from the briarwood arc.
The show itself is hard to judge on its own merits with cr bias. First two episodes were flat out bad. The cg wasn't overly offensive, but it's always a bad look.
Really hope they push forward. Show has a great foundation.

Of dragons are going to be the antagonists next season they better either vastly improve the cgi they use for them or scrap it for hand drawn. I can’t imagine watching a full season with that shit as your main villain.
