The Iris is much larger than Earth, and the Earth is larger than Moon. This isn't fair fight.

The Iris
>Giant cosmic eye that needs minions and companies working for it to make a dent on humanity
HIS THRONE
>The moment you lay eyes on its form you give in to it and become insane
You're right, it isn't fair fight.

Why is it always skinwalkers and/or celestial bodies? These analog horror things all seem so similar, even if some are done better than others.

It likes messing with sentients.
It seems to be more of a sadistic corrupter than a devourer.

who are these charming lads?

A lot of these types of projects seem *so close* to understanding how to be spooky and unnerving, but fall just a bit short.

This one, for example. When it gets to the Woodcrawlers, it can't help but stop the music and include dumb text, like "lest they stand up again", with a completely different tone to the rest of the video. It would have been more effective to present it as completely normal.

I don't think it's necessarily people looking over each other's shoulders, but people making these are certainly incentivised by their "peers" into making similar things by immersion.
The monuments one is a bit different even if I think some aspects of it are kinda dumb.
I personally love innawoods scary stories about close encounters with unknown wild creatures, no need to make an Avengers-tier cosmic apocalypse shitfest.

All these series coming out makes me want to rewatch Marble Hornets to see if it's as good as I remember. I remember liking how subtle the Slenderman (or "The Operator" I guess) was, and how the story was pretty contained to just a few people, rather than some hidden global threat.

Pitch me an analog horror series but without anything supernatural
Ok GO!

A Dystopian setting told through analog horror, with stuff like mandatory inspection advisory's and propaganda on rebels

Impossible, because the medium itself is supernatural.
>Yeah bro, it makes sense that you can put color video and audio on this featureless black tape. You just need a special machine to read it.
Fuck off, Choronzon
