> I want to study Russian and it will be a good motivation.
Please don't. It's a hellhole

Soviet Animation is mostly shorts and children's stuff

USSR's state control of the arts allowed only socialist realism for the most part, as such comics, capeshit and the like were purposefully suppressed by the stare;

Ginji, if you're a horsefucker

The only worth while animation I can think off is Prince Vladimir. It's traditionally animated and it looks pretty good.
Though the subtitles of the version I watched kept referring to Kievan-Rus as "Russia" because of course they would.

Smeshariki and maybe this And Melnitsa movies. That's pretty much it, everything else is trash.

>good motivation
To properly learn Russian, you need to be depressed as fuck or be extremelly drunk, mentally or physically, or both

Just watch глyхapь it's kino we don't have any good long-running cartoons in Russia.

WATCH NU POGODI AND TREASURE ISLAND/OSTROV SOKROVICH

I would also recommend Smeshariki, Melnizsa Movies, Prostokvashino (Soviet), Kotyonok po imeni Gav, Kot Leopold, bremenskiye muzikanty and other Baseduzmultfilm movies. Or just watch live action movies. Gaidai for example.

So is the filter working well for once? Lmao

just watch whatever soviet stuff you can find

This one is like an Iliad for Russian animation, must watch.
This one is ongoing so easy to follow.
Gonna add this youtube.com/watch?v=x9J2A5I1P4o
It's lesser-known but it has great animation and English subs. Good luck with learning!

I'm sure this wasn't the traditional Slavic concept of Baba Yaga. Koshchei the Deathless also got toned down'

I wonder how Russian mothers frighten their children into obedience these days.
"Eat your borsht or Putin will get you!"

Eat the Borsht or she will molest you. Modern problems require modern solutions.

I remember as a child adoring Russian animated movies. I know you meant shows but hope this will do as well. The animation is wonderful and I am really mad that they are not as appreciated (and entire European animation) as they should be. The second movie (Little fox Vuk) is actually Hungarian cartoon but here it is translated in Russian. youtube.com/watch?v=xIydib54W3A&list=PLCwT26l95DgdUA2MMj0szXc2odCci8FTD&index=18

watch the three bogatyr series lot of fun

Right now? Not really.

Modern russian adult animations is straight copypaste of Adult Swim sh*ws. Seth's grafic style, "Family Guy"-level of humour etc.
t. Russian

Was it worth it?
