What became of Steve Ditko for so many years after retiring from comics? He never did interviews or public con appearances
What became of Steve Ditko for so many years after retiring from comics...
Who? Dude looks like a serial killer.
He never retired, sure he stop working for the big two but he didn't stop drawing/writing his own stuff.
You fucking newfag
He's the co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange
This. Looks like he tortures little girls in his basement lol.
Stan Lee created Spider-Man, idiot.
Never had a gf either.
>falling for bait this obvious
He jerked himself off to death.
He never really "retired", he just did freelance work.
Ditko developed a super-autistic sense of personal values bases around objectivism. He gave an interviewer a long explanation for why he never accepted any awards or went to conventions, it was pretty incomprehensible but he believed that he shouldn't get ANY reward from his comics besides monetary compensation.
After splitting from Marvel he created Mr A and The Question, two fedora-wearing Randian superheroes. The result speaks for itself, in huge text boxes
Yes this was the inspiration for Rorschach, right down to the black+white calling card. But Moore was smart enough to read this type of superhero and realize that only a manlet with an inferiority complex would aspire to be him
Its a shame Alan Moore is a hack..
I remember when Any Forums had a thread when he died. Dude was dead for like a week before his landlord found him.
It's the fate that awaits us all....
It's a shame Ditko couldn't put down his ego to hire a decent writer or editor, because while his art was good, he needed editing.
>GOVERNMENT BAD
>LIBERTARIANISM, GOOD
>GOVERNMENT BAD
Yes
>hessa good boy, he dindu nuffin!
get fucked, kid
They made up lies about a man who lived alone and barely had contact with the rest of the industry. even his handlers didn't know him. everything else is the invention of liberals and conservatives
People who are obsessed with politics hate the individual. that's why comics code was created in the first place, and it's making a comeback now.
Moore’s attempt at writing Travis (taxi driver) Bickel narration for Rorshach was pretty bad.
Has Mr. A been collected yet?
He still drew comics.
All he did was piece together the most maligned individual (manlet, ugly, ginger, son of a whore) and give him an endless suicide mission. Objectivism was his lifeblood.
Checked, but unbased.
I don't think he was meant to be Bickle. I think he was partially inspired by Son of Sam.
