Bobby. MMA is superior to boxing in every way.

Neither. Bobby dropped his arms and Hank had his guard up a foot higher than it should have been given Bobby's height.

Bobby. Honor is for dead men.

The entire fun of the show is watching Hank's ignorance get kicked in the nuts. This time it happens to be real. As tone deaf as the episode is, it was hilarious to watch Bobby go around playing kick ball.

THAT'S MY PURSE

I loved how welcoming the women in the self defense class eventually was of having a little boy join.

Not just for the wholesome and goodhearted-ness of it all, but also for the /ss/ doujins in my head.

They're both wrong and right, which is what makes it a good episode/show. Bobby was never going to learn when Hank just started jabbing him. He's way bigger than Bobby and didn't even teach him what to do with his feet, and nothing with his hands except to keep them up. But he's right in the larger idea that Bobby could use some training and even just exercise. Likewise Bobby was being a big asshole going around kicking guys in the nuts, but when he did it to Chang, Chang deserved it and needed to be taught that Bobby was done with his bullshit

nuclear cope

Eventually people will adapt to Bobby's one trick and he will be powerless again, except this time everyone will be out to cause him as much suffering as possible.

Chang did nothing wrong

>KICK ME IN THE JIMMYS

Should have ended with Peggy kicking him in the balls

the vengeance of the eunuchs

show us more?

There is no such thing as a fair fight. Bobby was right for going for a weak spot.

Is that the new Revenge of the Nerds movie subtitle?

This sums it up, Bobby was right to defend himself with whatever worked when he actually needed to defend himself, but beyond that, he was just being an ass.

Either Peggy or Connie, the fact that Bobby got away with his nuts intact is a huge missed opportunity.

Bobby for unnecessary escalation

At least Hank ended up becoming a better boxing coach for Luanne later on.

Both were wrong for different reasons.
Hank's delusions about Honor didn't apply to Bobby's situation and he was too dumb to give him good advice on self-defense.
Bobby was quickly becoming a power mad idiot and in reality the trick would've only gone so far. Even if nobody ever wised up, Bobby is pretty much just one badly thrown kick away from an absolute ass beating.
Bobby would've been far better off learning how to actually box well especially since most the dullards and cowards he fought probably would fold just as easily with a well thrown punch.

Neither. It's situational. A fight for honor is different than a fight for your life.

Mostly Bobby. Learning boxing is good for you, even if Hank was a shitty teacher. Hank should've signed Bobby up for proper boxing classes instead.

This has 15 million views, more than any other KotH vid I've seen

Hank. Bobby was relying on a single move meant for a quick getaway. Should he ever be in a situation where he can’t use that move he’d have been screwed which is exactly what happened at the end with Peggy.

Bobby wasnt in actual danger and was only supposed to box, in Hanks mind the worse Bobby would do is flail his gloves around

No, it'd make more sense for one of the guys to kick him in the balls. Bobby wasn't messing with girls.
The episode should've shown the main reason guys don't kick each other in the balls in fights is because that just means the other guy is allowed to kick you back.

Have it be Chane

The point is ball kicking is a desperation move and not meant for a long term scenario. Suppose Bobby goes for the nuts but misses. Now he’s shown his hand and the bully is on guard, also the bully now feels like nuts are fair game and could give it right back to Bobby, who has no knowledge of how to block said attack. Bobby was right to defend himself against the bullies and by all rights they had those nut shots coming, but in a spar with Hank he was being a bitch over not getting his way. Bobby’s refusal to even try against Hank’s “bops” was an extension of his main character flaw which is that he doesn’t even want to take the time to learn. He always takes the shortcut but then finds himself trapped with no way to get back, like the river raft episode where he built that barge that looked good but couldn’t actually float.

Based

In a fight technically everything is fair game but Hank wanted to teach Bobby the fundamentals. As the episode proves at the end, if you can't KO your opponent with that one move, you're basically fucked. Bobby was merely opening up the door for more confrontations, and potentially making himself more vulnerable with his predictable offense

Bobby. Hank should know better than to try to teach a kid to fight without wearing a cup.

Hank wanted Bobby to develop self confidence and respect through hard work and determination. Bobby takes the easy shortcut and never learns the lesson Hank wants him to. Hank cares about honor and principles, Bobby just wants to listen to toilet sounds. I think they are both right in their own way. Kicking someone in the balls will absolutely end a fight fast.

are you a girl or a faggot?
kicking a guy in the nuts is a good way to end up dead

The Self Defense for Women group taught female defense fighting. Bobby was powerless and he did needed to fight back against his bully. If you have to fight somebody for your life, you are better off attacking their weak spots to make them fall down first.
However, Bobby was wrong to abuse this "power". Its a cop out and it tarnishes the purpose of self defense.

Bobby was right to use ball-kicking to defend himself, but he overused it.
When you are so much physically smaller, particularly in height, to your opponent, boxing won't save you.
Using underhanded tactics is what you need to do to stop Chang Wassanasong from making you eat dirt.

But Hank was ight that you can't go around hitting random people in the balls

He should have beaten Bobby for it

You'll be dead after I kick you in the nuts.

Hank is. Bobby is cleary on the left side in your pic.

Bobby was hardly in the position of a woman being attacked by a mugger/rapist though.
Defense Fighting is literally just tactics to give you an opportunity to flee.
In pretty much every way Bobby would've been better off learning how to actually throw a punch rather than just the singular nut shot.
But Chane was a bitch and so were his friends. Actually fighting back probably would've scared them off just as much as taking him out with a nut shot.

Idk. Who was the lil bitch that had to get his wife to do the fighting?

He's not wrong. Honor as a concept is a social construct and can have its definition and permutations change as society or the individual sees fit. And last we checked, dead men tell no tales and certainly can't write history books.

But there are tons of Honored dead and disgraced murderers.

>Bobby was hardly in the position of a woman being attacked by a mugger/rapist though.

That is true, but Bobby didn't have good help at the time. At first, he just wanted Chane to leave him alone and stop abusing him. I believe what Bobby did at that time was appropriate, but again, he did overdue it. If Bobby don't want to learn how to do physical combat, that's on him, but I;m pretty sure there is lots of self-defense tactics he could use to back off bullies and not use ball kicking as a cop out. Bobby should had learned more about protecting himself from the group or at least try Karate.

Hank being a Boomer tool couldn't make his son self reliant rather than being a brute.

Well, a kick to the nuts is hardly the Ancient Chinese Death Touch that the show makes it out to be -- especially if you're still otherwise fat, weak, and nonathletic. In reality, Bobby would probably whiff his kick and get the shit beat out of him, this time by a guy who's *really* mad that some pudgy dork just tried to kick him in the nads.

But if I take the show on its own terms, they both had a point. You really shouldn't think in terms of "honor" when you're being attacked, because a guy who's attacking an innocent person doesn't deserve honor and respect in the first place. It's not like Chang was some warrior meeting Bobby on the battlefield, he was a bitch who was going after a fat, short nerd while surrounded by his lackeys.

On the other hand, discipline, hard work, and actually learning how to fight are important things for a young boy. And obviously, dirty tricks like nut shots are only acceptable if you're in a "do or die" situation. Bobby clearly went mad with power pretty fast.

If Bobby actually learned to box (which would presumably also result in him not being comically out of shape), he'd have easily been able to tee off on the sorts of bullies he was going up against, size difference or no. But he wasn't going to get there in a couple of lessons given by his turbo-boomer dad who also probably doesn't actually know how to box. Plus, Hank really doesn't seem like a good teacher.

Yeesss!

neither, because everything is Peggy's fault. everything.

MMA doesn't eve allow crotch shots, it's the same type of pussy "combat" sport as boxing. Until they start allowing throat punches, headbutts, and eye gouges that shit is not real fighting.

you would obviously prefer to live in the 18th century and watch Mandingo fighting

I'm just annoyed with all these guys saying "mma is muh real fighting" when it doesn't even allow headbutts.

>mma
>real fighting

MMA more like Mcdojo am I right? HAHAHA!
