I loved the pilot but it was consistently downhill from there. Season one was just okay down from awesome and season 2 would have been really fun if it came out in 2016 or something. I kind of feel like everything moved on from what the show is trying to be. I REALLY thought Cartoon Hangover was going to be the next big thing in animation but they just constantly made wrong decisions. Suppose that's a bit of an issue. I haven't seen the second series yet (I'm waiting until it's released officially), but I hear it's not really planning on building upon much of show's lore as I would've liked. It's a shame because that's partially why I got into the show and also partially why I got interested in my wife, Bee, so I made a couple things attempting to expand on that lore myself during the holdover for Lazy in Space. Hopefully it's still able to do something with its backstory at some point in the second series anyway, but it's probably not gonna be much unfortunately.

Whats bothers me with the show is that all the "clues" that Bee is a robot are on plain sight, with all the weird tech on her house, but the artsytle is so cutesy and abstract you don't realized her house is littered with alien tech because it doesn't register like technology, more like weird baby toys or something.

Though the waiting has been frustrating, I think holding on to it for so long was a very smart response to the leak, since everyone will have forgotten the episodes by the time they come out so there's a higher chance of the show doing well. The thing with Natasha Allegri is that you give her a chance; you see that she is the show runner for her own cartoon; you watch it; and it’s a big load of nonsense! Just like the comics she wrote - Bee and Puppycat is just a pointless sequence of ideas that popped into the woman’s mind, strung together without any Rhyme or Reason. Watching it is pointless because you will never get anything out of it. She is just the most disappointing creative name in animation of the previous decade.

That pic was the fourth out of five pics I did based on how I assumed Lazy in Space would go (pic related was the second). I envisioned the plot as involving Bee and PuppyCat needing to go on a quick temp assignment to scrape some cash together, but things suddenly go awry when they find out that Temp-Bot was shut down as they were about to return home, and they attempt to make their own way back, discovering PuppyCat's old team and their personal spacecraft in the process. However, since this ship breaks down, they've got to perform odd jobs around the galaxy to pay for the repairs. At the end of the series, it appears they're ready to return home, but their plans are quelled when the team are ambushed by the Space King's forces, who capture and imprison PuppyCat and the gang, but let Bee go alone, as her planet's technology wouldn't allow her to return.

I guess I put more emphasis into the whole "in Space" part of the title, but I suppose this felt like it would work better as a way to raise the stakes as sequels usually do. I've got the rest of these posted here:

I then followed this up with what would be the final part of a "trilogy" (including the actual first series), where Bee, now living with Cass, is inspired by a vision of PuppyCat's comrades to find a way to save them from the Space King, using technology that her father collected and stored in his old place of work before he "ran away". Unlike Lazy in Space, which, whilst having an overarching plot, was still meant to be episodic in that the main focus of each episode were the temp assignments, this series would basically be one grand serialised adventure, in which Bee and her friends (including some escaped members of PuppyCat's team) work together to free the Space King's prisoners. The show would also try to answer any remaining questions left on the audience's mind, with particular focus on Bee's backstory, as much of PuppyCat's was explained through Lazy in Space.

This "series" was a bit more fleshed out, as I suppose it needed to be what with it being one long storyline. So whilst Lazy in Space had five pics describing it, this series, titled "The Journey Home" (creative, I know) had about 23. I guess my drawing skills aren't exactly the best, but I still think it was worth all the work. You can find this series here:

It's a shame the show didn't just employ Japanese animators from the start. Say what you will about the meandering writing and the disaffected indie/film school acting, but the second half of season one looked good. They were able to rein in the sloppy, amateurish tendencies of the storyboarders who gave us crap like and elephantiasis legs.
You get only one chance to make a first impression. If they hadn't been cheap in the beginning, things might be slightly different.
