Hey guys, sorry for being such a retard and knowing shit about guitars, but what am I supposed to do when a single fret on a single string sounds like shit (vibrates against something and doesn’t have the space) – no matter what I do or adjust I can’t play the third fret on D string and it’s bugging the hell out of me

it needs fret work done. you have to take it to a luthier and he will diagnose and repair. maybe you have a high fret that lifted out of the finger board. maybe he has to level the frets.
