Which guitar is better for a beginner?
Which guitar is better for a beginner?
pick the one that fits the genre of music you want to play the most
this
lots of people start with acoustic guitars, which doesn't make sense if you mostly listen to electric music, especially as the electric is usually easier to play
They're completely different instruments really.
acoustic so your fingertips toughen up
/thread
just buy electric.
I bought an electric to practice and I dont even use an amp to practice, its fine. added benefit is its quiet enough to notbother anyone when youre practicing with no amp
Doesn't matter, if you play long enough you'll end up with at least 5 of each
I really want to learn metal. What would I get to get started?
Depends on what is around. I grew playing on several instruments that were just around the house ( that i was allowed to touch as a child)
If you have nothing, then anything is good enough. If you have a choice, buy something decent for a few hundred $. Like others have said it really does depend on what m,music you want to play.
Rock metal country folk
be more specific for a better answer
HRT
like i said here I want to learn how to play metal.
That doesnt answer my question.
Do you have the $ for a first guitar?
Do you have a music shop in your area?
You'll need an Amp and cords along with that guitar... basically speaking
This, but unironically
sry, stupid captions wear me out ... I really would do more here if i could just post lol
You literally got an answer, HRT is the first step of getting into metal now.
>Do you have the $ for a first guitar?
Not currently but I can get the money.
>Do you have a music shop in your area?
I do, yes.
What are you talking about? What do trannies have to do with metal? I thought they were scared of that sorta thing because it radiates masculinity.
These type of replies, from wack jobs, looking for dopamine gains, are the cancer in your thread. Unless you are a part of it. Who is to tell anymore.
Really though. If you have a markey in your area just go in there and play lol.. if they are a cool shop and you act like a normal person.. they will help you. Play a few giutars and hook them up to a cpl different amps. They may not like deonding on staff but buy something when you in. A set of strings, a cord, something. Get to know them.. Some of the best advice and playing time ive ever gotten has been hanging out in guitar stores.
Slow roll it though unless you have $ or theyll hate you for playing every amp and guitar the first week
any guitar that has a humbucker pickup in the bridge. the telecaster and stratocaster have single coil pickups in the bridge and neck. the gibson les paul has humbucker pickups in the bridge and neck. some guitars have different combinations of pickups, but for metal anything with a humbucker in the bridge will do.
Not a tele with single coils. They create a lot of feedback with distortion. Did you want to play more classic metal like Maiden, sabbath and Metallica or more low-tuned metal? Either way, something with humbuckers is preferable. If you want to tune low, you might want to go for something with a bit longer of a scale length. I'm sure if you look up youtubr videos for good beginner metal guitars on the market now that you will be able to find some comparisons.
sweet, thanks.
>Did you want to play more classic metal like Maiden, sabbath and Metallica or more low-tuned metal?
That's a good question. A bit of both really. Maybe leaning toward lower tuned. I'll have to think more on that. I'll definitely get a guitar with humbucker. If it's needed then I'll definitely look for one with it. I might just get a Les Paul because it seems like a really good option.
asking whether he wants to tune low is retarded. no one is going to learn guitar on a baritone tuned to drop F.
the truth is that he'll eventually have to buy a second guitar if he wants to play both Metalllica and Entombed
