Bach's Leipziger Chorales are kinda boring honestly

god I hate guitar transcriptions

guitar is a retard instrument, there is a reason why it attracted popular musicians in the millions while great composers never cared for it.

No. Great composers wrote great works for the guitar. Idiotic performers weren't satisfied and instead took more popular works and butchered them to fit them to the guitar. The instrument is good and compositions for it are good. Transcriptions are a fucking crime worthy of the death penalty.

there are no great works written for the guitar, only retard works written by retard composers with the same IQ as popular musicians playing power chords.

maybe with slower tempos it sounds boring, but not with faster tempos
try chapuis recording

Will check it out, thanks. I listened to Foccroulle's recording and wasn't satisfied with it. His phrasing is strange.

Wagner never wrote for the guitar though

The word "song" is never ever used to describe a work of classical music. This is because "song" refers to a vocal work and vocal classical music works have different, more specific designations (aria, lied, ...).

you are a geetahtranny and a subhuman

there are virtually no great solo works for anything other than keyboards because great composers have always been maximalists. Especially after the baroque era a composer couldn't fathom the concept of writing for more limited orchestration. so no, you are wrong: all guitar reportoire is garbage, but that is to be expected

Hurwitz said you don't just pop out a St Matthews Passion and that it's best served for occasions
But it just sounds so gorgeous, I can't do anything but sit and listen

wow I listen to exclusively chaconnes now

stop talking about meme instruments and post real instrumentals

A reminder that all transcriptions of the cello suites have voice crossing. There is no low C# on that instrument.

Time to dilate, transcription sister.
