i don't get it
I don't get it
Filtered
unironically filtered
Why are you guys so rude?
AND I SHALL DRIVE MY CHARIOT DOWN YOUR STREETS AND CRY
Dude if the word filtered makes you upset leave the site
No, I won't leave this imageboard. You have to become a nicer person
op here. it's mostly the vocalizations that put me off. i love sweet thing and cyprus avenue and some other tracks but in general i feel i just don't understand this record
and this is an actual question i'd genuinely like to understand astral weeks
>so you've been filtered, what now?
It's okay dummy, if you don't like his voice then none of us here can explain it to you.
Get better.
>i don't get it
>it's the vocalizations that put me off
it seems like you do get it. you don't like his vocals and other people do
This is what happens when you take a mid singer/songwriter and back him up with a band of highly trained professional musicians.
Also impeccable production. Like.. some of the best ever.
But I don't really see how anyone could hear the title track and call that mid-tier. Incredible lyrics, and hooky vocal phrasing. Obviously it's a looser jazzy feel, but it's still strong pop songwriting with a slightly more elegant, folky veneer.
Damn really? This was like an instant love on first hear
if you aren't moved by Van's stream of consciousness crooning then there's really no hope for you besides listening to it until it clicks
You need to be an anti vax chud to get it.
is that Aphex Twin
It fucking sucks. This guy can't sing.
Why boomers memed this shit so much?
if you pitch shift one of his tracks in a DAW so that it is perfectly in key, you will find that his voice is never more than a few cents flat or sharp. he nails almost all of the notes he sings
this isn't a rod stewart situation, the van morrison can sing
>singer-songwriter
>can't sing
Many such cases in the boomer era. Imagine playing this shit next to your friends, kek!
