Getting into rap in current year

Rock is dead/dying. We all have our favorite albums of the past but current output is limited unless you're into meme metal genres, which I'm not. I'm thinking of getting into rap, where I can at least enjoy new music and new artists.

Who are good, new rappers to listen to in 2k22?

>kanye west
i'd reccommend listening in release order. the leaked stuff is cool (yeezus 2 specifically). donda was the best album of 2021, donda 2 is unfinished but still worth a listen

also playboi carti has a new album out soon(tm)

>kanye
gay shit for women

>output is limited
wut?
>unless you're into meme metal genres
oh yeah lol, grind started taking in more thrash and trad hc punk influence post-covid and shit is rad the underground is poppin, but it is very niche

rap is dead/dying, dude. this isn't 1993.

No way is donda the best ha are you high?

Rock is dead but Rap is dying.

I've noticed more and more nostalgia for 90s hip hop which might be a bad sign for the health for rap. What's a genre that's healthy and likely to reward an investment over the next five or so years?

Americana/Folk/Alt-Country

Rittz

t. ADHD brain that got filtered by donda chant

Rock isn't dead/dying but it won't be a mainstream fixture of radio again for a while likely.

Is it Dead/Dying? I don't know if it's hip anymore but still seems fairly popular.

People have been nostalgic for 90s rap since 2001

I know this too, very Any Forums post.

Even the alternative station near me plays mostly synthesizer, samples and drum machine shit. If I'm going to listen to that, why not listen to real nibbas doing it?

You've never interacted with a Black Person in your entire life and that formats already German anyway.

Bro you have good enough internet connection to be on Any Forums to begin with, just fucking torrent the music you actually like and want to hear instead of trying this desperate attempt at seeking hip that almost nobody is actually going to believe and will really just make you look sillier than you already do. If you're not comfortable doing that or that takes too much work just pay for YouTube premium which is what I do.

What's some good current rock that isn't meme metal?

ERRA, Northlane, Spiritbox, Turnstile, Architects, Trivium.

Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, The Sherlocks. For a less heavy sound.
