Rock is dead/dying. We all have our favorite albums of the past but current output is limited unless you're into meme metal genres, which I'm not. I'm thinking of getting into rap, where I can at least enjoy new music and new artists.
new rappers? depends how new you mean. this year, only mainstream one i like is yeat youtube.com/watch?v=bHDWrnlIqfQ youtube.com/watch?v=bd5l5NtzoWc if you're talking new school in general, travis scott - nightcrawler, 3500, maria i'm drunk suicideboys - i'm done, kamehameha (kamikaze remix), $moke break, avalon, runnin thru the 7th with my woadies old migos & gucci mane - i get the bag, slippery, t-shirt chief keef isn't for everyone but he's probably my favorite, untrustworthy, where he get it, kills, i wonder, leanin, 3hunna,aimed at you, john madden, hate me now, street cat, woosah and of course, kanye west, father stretch my hands, famous, follow god

I've noticed more and more nostalgia for 90s hip hop which might be a bad sign for the health for rap. What's a genre that's healthy and likely to reward an investment over the next five or so years?
Cameron Harris
Americana/Folk/Alt-Country
Michael Clark
Rittz
Camden Peterson
t. ADHD brain that got filtered by donda chant
Alexander Miller
Rock isn't dead/dying but it won't be a mainstream fixture of radio again for a while likely.
Lucas Phillips
Is it Dead/Dying? I don't know if it's hip anymore but still seems fairly popular.
Dominic Green
People have been nostalgic for 90s rap since 2001
Jaxon Harris

Even the alternative station near me plays mostly synthesizer, samples and drum machine shit. If I'm going to listen to that, why not listen to real nibbas doing it?
Daniel Rogers
You've never interacted with a Black Person in your entire life and that formats already German anyway.
Hudson Jenkins
Bro you have good enough internet connection to be on Any Forums to begin with, just fucking torrent the music you actually like and want to hear instead of trying this desperate attempt at seeking hip that almost nobody is actually going to believe and will really just make you look sillier than you already do. If you're not comfortable doing that or that takes too much work just pay for YouTube premium which is what I do.
