should i keep working on this?

...

How can I make it that the sample hits are always minimu grid size? It seems awkward to edit when every hit is small and different than the other like pic related. Im using maschine.

mixing this but can't get it to pop the way I want it to. Don't know enough about mixing to work out how/why that is tho

>vocaroo.com/1fK7tt5zJ3Dj
Yea. I'd say the music is solid but the main synth and drum sounds in part one could be switched out for something better as right now they sound like stock logic/garageband. Compositionally it sounds closer to chiptune/old vg soundtrack music so that could work.

is this a mashup or your own parts?

Where is everyone?

at work

The bad place
/prod/ed a bit yesterday and then slept twenty hours~

any tech house makers ITT?

I've been meaning to post this because a lot of us get stuck with song structure and a simple way to do it is to just create many 8 bar loops wtih the same elements as a base.

Another one of those lofi loops never to be expanded into a full song

own parts, half midi half live instruments

My music is basically just a poor clone of my current favourite artist, how the fuck do i find my own voice when writing lyrics and finding a singing style

okay. you're pretty consistently cutting too much low mids from most of your channels.
400-1kish range
it's very popular to call this a danger area where you should cut to avoid "mud", but people fail to mention that's where body and warmth are.
your guitars have this constant 2.5k hiss that gives me a headache
you're slamming your drums/cymbals into something that distoring in unpleasant ways that make them feel like they're choking.

it's a very long track tho so i just skimmed around mostly in the first section after the intro.

Copy more artists that you like. Take inspiration from other media like literature, movies, real life, nature, etc.

okay, thanks!

another day another mediocre instrumental with an acapella slapped over it

>Final mix
your kick is too loud and whatever you've done to make it stereo hurts me

I finally reached my plugin hoarding end game after 2TB of stuff

sounds like you need to download more spitfire libraries

nah, the spitfire stuff is also included in that 2TB
