It's too bassed

I wonder this too
LMAO

You can't?!

your headphones are shit
you're listening to metal
you haven't trained your brain to find the bassline yet because we naturally turn our attention to the higher lines of the melody instead of the lower ones

sometimes i feel people are actually braindead AND deaf. that im the only one listening to the music. maybe 95% of people just register the lyrics, the kickdrum, some melodic murmur on the background, and thats it?

you sound really really autistic

OP is probably a rocktard. Other genres do not have this problem.

i always turn the bass up an extra 2db in my mixes. just to show it some love.

These days bass is very common, but back in the day you wouldn't notice the bass as much because speakers didn't really have any low range. You would get a car stereo or something and the bass would just get lost in the midsy mix. If the guitar and bass are doing something at the same time it just sounds like a guitar.

Although if they are doing some kinda weird counterpoint, or the bass is going while the guitar player solos it's pretty obvious.

A good bassist doesn't make you think, "Damn, that's a good bassist." They make you think, "Damn, I love this song."

>open string quarter note rolls intensifies

Because you only listen to metal.

Can you hear/feel the bass in those tracks? If not, just stop listening to music and find another hobby. Maybe stamp collecting

Another classic rock bassline. The band borders on buttrock, but in the 90s, even throwaway radio shit was good.
