Also yeah, I bet a lot of guys do this. They say that they listen to Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and all that kind of stuff whenever a female asks them what they listen to, it's makes them more relatable.

Because women are programmed by the media they consume and there is currently a trend of nu-metal/grunge/alternative shit going around on TikTok.
I've seen Deftones live 15 years apart and now half the audience are women under the age of 20 whereas before it was mostly greasy 20-40 year old dudes.

Not to say influences are everything, otherwise Linkin Park would've been way more interesting than they actually were, but it does make a significant impact. I love their early albums, but would they have had the same cultural mainstay as they do in music if every album was another Adrenaline or Around the Fur? I don't think so.

Its no suprise women are going to choose this band if they have to go for something metal.
