This is why they are dying btw

>playing for years but only ever did covers or jammed riffs
>never actually wrote an original piece before
>finally do it
>it's the most fun I've had playing guitar in over a decade
Bros, I'm begging you. Write original songs, you will fall in love with the instrument more and more

im in the opposite boat, i dont think I've ever learned a guitar solo ive always just winged it

When I was young and really into shred and lead I used to think you had to learn solos note for not and when making a solo you thought out each and every single note
Once I learned music theory and how to improvise in specific keys I realized all solos are made up on the spot
My favorite thing to do it put on a 30 minute backing track and just jam along

Why are power chords where the first finger is on the top and the third is on the bottom (so E-3 A-5) so easy but the reverse is impossible?

did you try turning your guitar upside down

Seriously though what kind of "innovations" would you want on an ES335? I get wanting more colors but there's basically nothing I'd want changed except a P90 version

But I hate the music I make

I started songwriting weeks into picking up guitar. It's the only thing that keeps me playing.

That's not the ES-335 page, that's the entire ES lineup.

What the fuck are you referring to? Are you talking about a minor 3rd?

All of Gibson's lines are like that. They have 3 or 4 base models with different colors and then endless "reissues" and VOS and aged meme lines that are targeted specifically to blooze lawyers and dentists
You'd have to be a special kind of retard to pay 10k for a Murphy aged guitar

why do pull offs where ring finger to index like 18 to 16 but backwards so impossible guitar make no wheeeeee when I do the finger thing

finger faster

The solid body line has the Les Paul, the SG, the flying V, the Firebird, the Explorer, etc. The ES line has endless variations of the ES-335 and 339. tl;dr I would kill a nigger for a Tal Farlow

Hammer ons? Build finger strength
