Priest are arguably the most purely metal band of all time. Sabbath had a whole blues thing going on, Maiden had a prog thing, Metallica had hardcore and D Beat influence etc.
Priest can really only be described as being heavy metal. That being said Screaming For Vengeance isn’t even in the top 3 Priest albums.
