Why were The White Stripes so good but his solo albums are soulless and pale in comparison? I thought he was the sole songwriter of the band, did Meg really make that much of a difference? Dude doesn't even look like the same person anymore too

Yes. She made quite an impact on the band to the point where Jack White apparently begged her not to practice.
She restrained his creative impulses which could be scatterbrained or lack direction into an area where he could channel it effectively.
without meg, the guy just hasnt been the same. they should have never broken up but i feel like they were past their prime anyway by the time they split up. They really had a golden run, how many garage rock bands of the 2000s could lay claim to 5-6 solid albums by the end of the 2000s? Like if the white stripes existed just to have created their first 2 albums they would've been legendary.
>their first 2 albums
Mostly covers or ripoffs of classic blues songs
You're thinking of the first album, the second had all original songs except for 2. You're pretty good looking for a girl and hello operator were huge early hits for them. Doesn't matter either about the covers, they had a fresh take on them and helped usher in a new wave of bluesy/rock n roll music to the 2000s. All rock is rooted in blues whether anyone likes it or not.

massive tits will do that to a mf
>they had a fresh take on them
Ripped off of other punk blues bands at the time, bands that didn’t have big tit drummers
Bands they also publically paid respects to. Jack said Gun Club songs should be taught in school for christ's sake, and constantly played covers of them in concerts
And The Gun Club also had hot female members for your information. The Sisters Of Mercy chick came from TGC

the white stripes were never good
tits are the most boring part of the female body
jack is rich, and surrounding himself with yes men. the first 2 raconteurs and first 2 dead weather albums had collaborators that didn't give him free rain, the third albums of both bands also lacked the soul.
so did almost every band before the late 90s.
can't listen to their studio albums, but they are fine at live
i'm the exact opposite. a lot of times, jack's changes while live he tried wouldn't work.
