Yeah Venus Doom is far away their best album for me. Razorblade Romance has a ton of Bon Jovi bangers though, love it. Greatest Love Songs and Love Metal are the next tier for me. I just keep finding new things to like about this band.

Man I love this band still in my 30s, they fondly take me back to my younger teen years possibly more than any other group. You could argue they could be a tad formulaic like other mainstream rock bands but something about them was always more unique and just better that I can't put my finger on

I always hear this, HIM is _insert goth metal band here_ for fags or whatever. Usually Type O Negative, I don't hear the similarities at all....I've tried to listen to every band they get compared to in hopes that I'll like it but I generally don't
