I find this album to be really dull. I'm seeing her open for Alex G later this year, and I'm not looking forward to it.

spent a night laying sleepless in bed, while letting this engulf me. this is the most i've felt out of music since reaching my mid 20s. it's comforting, devastating and life affirming all at once.

2022 has been SHIIIIITTTT for music. New Kendrick was just pretty ok. New Bloc Party album was AWFUL. Animal Collective missed hard. Sematary and Haunted mound fell off. Hiss is the only album this year so far that I thoroughly enjoyed. At this point all I'm looking forward to is Daniel Avery's new album Ultra Truth and Daphni's new album Cherry and maybe hopefully a new Death Grips project but yeah. This year has been so bad.

My brother in Christ, were you really waiting with bated breath for Bloc Party? They've been awful since Tong left as drummer.

It's been a good year. At least nine great releases so far.

Surely he can't have been that instrumental.

Kele forgot how to right about two-thirds of the way into A Weekend back in '07, so frankly they've been bad from Intimacy onward. Tong was the sole member of the group with tremendous natural skill on his instrument; when he left, so did the lone saving grace of a band already headed downhill.
