Probably.

I really need to just listen to all of their albums because like every few months I hear a new song by them from a different era that fucking rules

Kink Kontroversy

Considered two of their best albums. Their most underrated is Sleepwalker or Preservation Act 1.

Working on a playlist for The Kinks currently, just finished selecting the tracks from this album and am about to start adding stuff from what I'd consider their "prime" years ( Something Else to Muswell )

Yeah the Kinks just owns

Mogs Rubber Soul in every possible way. Ray Davies is a criminally underrated songwriter

it mogs revolver but not rubber soul

Why? Spotify playlists are for suckers

HES A SESSION MAN

OF CHORD PROGRESSION

Adding Something Else rn

>So Mystifying
>but no Stop Your Sobbing,
>no Nothin' in the World Can Stop Me Worrying about That Girl or I Go To Sleep
>No Dedicated Followers of Fashion, A Well Respected Man, See My Friends, I Need You, Ring the Bells or Where Have All the Good Times Gone
>no Too Much on My Mind, Party Line, Deadend Street or Big Black Smoke

I'm trying to keep it somewhat lean and there's more than "So Mystifying" from their first few albums I have on there. While I'm more of a fan of their later era, I did considering both "Ring the Bells" and "Nothin' in the World Can Stop Me "Worrying"

Why not any of the non-LP singles?

Love that middle part on Dandy

It's really hard making a comp of 65-67 kinks era. With their singles you can make a whole album imo

>Well Respected Man
>See My Friends
>Dead End Street
>Big Black Smoke
>Sunny Afternoon
>Autumn Almanac
>Death of a Clown
>Wonderboy
>Waterloo Sunset
>Mr Pleasant

And might be missing someone

All great tracks, Davies was untouchable

I don't add singles till the end usually desu

I think the most underrated of their classic period, but it is pretty respected between fans and critics

An approximation of a Singles Going Steady-esque track list would look like this, starting from '65
Side 1
>Everybody's Gonna Be Happy
>Set Me Free
>See My Friends
>A Well Respected Man
>Dedicated Followers of Fashion
>Dead End Street
>Autumn Almanac
Side 2
>Who'll Be the Next in Line
>I Need You
>Never Met a Girl Like You Before
>Such a Shame
>Sittin' on My Sofa
>Big Black Smoke
>Act Nice and Gentle
>Mister Pleasant
