Prog debate

How the hell is this considered better than Close to The Edge?

It's not. Close to the Edge is the pinnacle of prog. Every other prog band might as well have hung up their instruments after it was released. Everyone knows this.

who says that? i will barf on their face

Because it is more accessible to the pleb ear.
It is good though still.

Close to the Edge is a lot more accessible.

close to the edge is better, but funny screaming red man makes for a better youtube thumbnail than green to black gradient, please understand

It's not. It's considered more important since it came out several years earlier. Generally, this album is to prog what Paranoid by Black Sabbath is to metal.

>*deletes half of the songs*
ahhh much better

Both are perfect, exemplary examples of the genre. Not a single wasted second, and yes that includes Moonchild.

fuckers took bruford

It's more Bruford left for them. The CTTE sessions gave him a lot of frustration.

It's weird. Bruford said he left because he wanted more freedom behind the kit, but all the shit he played he played in Yes was 10x more creative and interesting than anything he played in Crimson.

fripp utilized him better than Yes ever could. cope

People tend to be more creative when restricted. Bruford going to crimson was probably a good move anyways. Playing alongside Jamie Muir probably opened his eyes to a whole new world of drumming

Sometimes too much freedom is a bad thing

this albums is borin....z z z z z z z z z z

Octopus is better than either.
