Genius producer...

>genius producer, one of the few mainstream musicians who tried to get normies into tape fuckery (musique concrete tracks in particular)
>immediately shills for digital production as soon as the 80s hit
why

CIA

Frank Zappa was never mainstream
In fact, he was officially BLACK LISTED

The possibilities of digital sampling and screwing with stuff so easily. He was making some real proto-vaporwave stuff at times that sounds a lot like James Ferraro.

why are you analog fags on the internet? it is horrible, evil digital, you know. Why are you using electricity at all? Oil lamps and hand pumping water out of a well has soul. Go live with the Amish.

He looks like fucking Borat

Because he actually moved with the times and could understand the huge possibilities that digital brought with it. If you don't agree you could always switch off your computer and turn your internet off.

Sounds like shit but still way ahead of its time, damn

This. Tired of luddite posturing. You're a dumb ass and you talk like a retard. Digital is better. Several industries moved towards digital computers and signal processing devices, including synthesizers, because it's simply better.

>muh musique concrete
Post your scrobbles in the musique concrete genre

He was always into avant garde electronic music even in the 50s. What's the problem

I'm a queer

this guy gets it

digital and analog experimental production techniques both sound awesome in their own way. for example, olivia tremor control - black foliage is full of amazing meticulous musique concrete tape manipulation, and sweet trip - v:d:c is a similarly poppy album which uses more digital glitchy techniques, and they're both great albums with their own unique sound. why's it gotta be a competition?

digital went up and beyond in the 80s

He was running out of time to be taken seriously

RIP Zappa, you would have loved IDM and Hyperpop

digital production now has a bad rep. but at the time he probably saw a lot of new possibilities. instead of doing ancient musique concrete shit that was 40 years old at that point he saw an open door with a lot of possibility. just cause theres a lot of sterile corny shit with digital production doesnt mean its inherently bad
