The board feels outdated and without anything new or current social-wise to stimulate any threads. Image-wise it echoes back to flannel-shirt wearing hipsters from 2011 that bought records because they thought they'd go up in social credit cache value. It moved on to ironic lgbt artist bling-core and decadent industry-indie pop appreciation with the new teenagers coming to the board in 2017+ But isn't either's whole aesthetic and look outdated? You fuckers always complain but when somebody posts cool, music related threads, they barely get attention. You ignored the Soviet threads, Cumbia threads, Flamenco threads, 70s Hard Rock obscurities threads.
You ignore all of that shit because you are all fucking plebs who want to feel "superior" while at the same time being no better than the average Pop listener (but instead of wanking over the same 50 Pop artists like Beyonce and Queen you wank over the same 50 acclaimed Rock and "alternative" bands).

I don't really see this board as a place to define what good music is. I see it more as a place to ingest uncensored social commentary about music at large. This is literally the only place you can do that without getting banned. Despite the "fuck jannies" meme, moderation is pretty good on Any Forums. unrelated threads get 404ed and controversial posts get left up (as long as its music related). You get a lot of trash, but sometimes interesting conversations spark up (although I will admit it, there is a lot of baiting and a lot of you are retarded).

Different user, 70s hard rock is definitely a matter of taste but watching the nearly instant evolution from 60s tropes and how ahead of the times some of it was straight out of the gate is where it's interesting. The overlap with prog and folk rock and all the obscure southern rock makes it a bit broader than the hard rock label would lead you to believe.
I'm not at my computer so I don't have any recs or links off the top of my head that exemplify it. I'd imagine Budgie and Gentle Giant are entry level choices. Some of it was too psychedelic for me, I lost the taste for that.
