Any albums like picrel except the singer hasn't taken a bunch of horse tranquilisers? I've yet to find a 90s alt rock album with good vocals

>90s alt rock album with good vocals
idk about closeness to dinosaur jrs sound, but sunny day real estate is the best 90s rock has to offer in terms of vocals imo. jeremy enigk isa one of a kind vocalist. their first two records would probably be more appealing as a dino jr fan

Archers Of Loaf - Icky Mettle

good vocals are overrated

U2's 90s albums

That's what I thought until I listened to picrel and found you can have cool wooshy guitars AND decent vocal melodies.

wrong is one of the best songs ever written

This, Pavement, Jawbox, Superchunk, there's plenty of Alt Rock with great vocals.

Listened to pavements first album and liked it. What's the rest of their catalogue like?

utterly embarrassing suggestions ITT

Cool Car Commercial Music, user!

I would recommend Kyuss, they are pretty straight forward.

yeah OP i can think of a lot of '90s alt-rock with strong vocals depending on your taste in singing style. here are some examples that are all over the map

Is Kyuss really what you think of when you hear "good vocals?" The 90s were definitely the era of amateur, sometimes downright bad vocalists making it in music. (Smashing Pumpkins are probably the most notable example) I think when you hear of traditionally good vocalists you're probably looking at someone like this guy (picrel)

pollard was easily the best vocalist of the 90s, pretty lofi too if you liked that aspect from YlAOM
