yeah not that good desu

Nirvana were already servants of commercial rock "long before they became popular": skimping on opening acts, refusing to play unless they were headliners, and the like. Jonathan Poneman, of Sub Pop, affirms that Cobain spent the day grumbling like a grandmother with chilblains because Bleach was not selling "millions of copies", when they were already going for 50,000 (something that by itself was a kind of miracle). And there's no need to recall the blatant hypocrisy of Cobain himself, who was sporting Corporate Rock Still Sucks T-shirts on MTV while pocketing petrodollars from Nevermind, #1 worldwide.

I like them when they pretend to be a punk band.

4 on the floor gets tiring sometimes

yeah and signed to Geffen. fucking fake band

everything cobain did was engineered to ensure success, which is fine so long as he admitted it, which he didn't, so he's a hypocrite

if kurt was ugly nobody would know who they were

this

Geffen wanted a band like the replacements.
Signs nirvana. Geffen begs them to work together. The replacements hate nirvana.

What else is there to discuss? This band has been dissected for the past 30 years. We all know everything there is to know about Nirvana and Kurt. Stop obsessing and grow up

right place at the right time

Nice pasta.

Best gateway band

Great band.

the logical conclusion to rock

Good band, even with Kurt's closeted pop star mentality

bleach was their only good album

Pretty good

Wrong.

Right.
