nah, Morrowind is. Oblivion is great too. Skyrim is trash. I played it once in 2011 and never touched it again.

Dark souls is like morrowind but to hard to be relaxing and way smaller

you don't have to use fast travel.
but I do like games that don't have fast travel like hardcore mode in Kingdom Come Deliverance. You don't even get a compass, you have to look at the position of the sun to find what direction you're facing, or look at moss on trees (it grows on the north side of trees.)
obviously you can use your map to find landmarks, but if you're in the forest it becomes easy to get lost.

honestly this is probably the best comparison, I have over 200 hundred hours in skyrim but when I compare it morrowind and oblivion it lacks on everything that made those games good, its just mindless fun like this album
the black album is nowhere nearly as good as the previous metallica records, but I will still listen to it because its fun to listen to
