Do you think this song would go over well at parties? youtu.be/DQVXC0oRt4Q Also what's the optimal way to learn to sing and play at the same time? I kinda just brute force it but is it viable to start by strumming only quarter notes then eventually making the rhythm more complex? I know the above song basically by heart lyrically but I'm still pretty new to guitar
The trick to playing a song at a party is playing something that everyone knows

I just got my mum to drive up my old guitar that I haven't touched since i was ~16. The E/A strings both buzz horrendously, i assume they're hitting the first few frets. The pin(? the little triangle on a spring the string sits on) for the high E came off of the bridge so no E string I heard that the sound unplugged matters and I can't even hear it. Also i never cleaned it as a teenager so its probably grimey as shit. It's a gould brand les-paul style that probably cost around 150£ if that matters.
Is this something that I could get it fixed over the weekend and be happy to learn with or should i just set money aside for a month or two and buy a new one i've been eye-ing up for around £500?

im trying do do a cover of Cemetary Gates at 1.4x speed to make it sound more like a faith no more song.
If yet to do the impossible task of recording the solo at that speed, but im getting close. What do you think? vocaroo.com/17pYpMC7Dt6w
