It sounded painfully 2007 for a long while, but it's been long enough for it to just sound like 2007.
It's still outdated, but the gap between it and current music releases is so large it's not worth comparing per default anymore.
And that helps it tremendously.

EP II had Roller Mobster, Looking for Tracy Tzu and Hang ‘Em All though, which are some of his best songs in my opinion.
And EP III had Anarchy Road and Invasion A.D., though it did feel a little underwhelming compared to the last two.
His songs for the Furi OST were decent, and then Leather Teeth fucking sucked aside from the title track, the Blood Machines OST had one of his best songs on it and the rest was unremarkable, then Leather Terror came out this year and it’s so bad it’s almost laughable. I would not be convinced that it was Carpenter Brut at all if it didn’t have his name on it.

That's completely fair, EP2 was really good, it just felt more of the same to me, maybe mixed with kinda aligning direction with the zeitgeist a bit more (like pertubator and kavinsky) but i can get why you would prefer it.
For me, there's just nothing coming close to that chord change in le perv. You know the one.

I agree completely with furi and leather teeth though.

It’s crazy that he was writing music like Le Perv in 2012. The sound design was really like nothing else then, and totally unique to him. That chord change is sick.
Those vocoded choirs or whatever they are in Roller Mobster do it for me like nothing else, though.
