I’ve seen this around. Worth checking out?

Rakim - Paid in Full
Run-DMC - Raising Hell

Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Tupac - Me Against the World

Big L - Lifestylez...
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Nas - Illmatic
Notorious B.I.G - Ready to Die
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Lynx
Wu Tang - 36 Chambers

MF Doom - Operation Doomsday

Yes my taste is extremely entry level please give me recommendations. 36 Chambers is my favorite so far I want more of that gritty stuff and also more 80s with the big drum machines.

Hell yes

>ms. mural is the worst song of the 3
does this mean lupe hates women

Wait to see how it ages

If you're loving 36 chambers just check out the rest of the Wu solo albums dude, don't sleep on the second wu album either rza improved so much from 36 chambers. I'd recommend checking out some some gang Starr, hard to earn is the shit

If you want some good 80's shit then surely check out the first few Ice T albums

Anyone else excited for the new Westside Gunn album??

Been coming back to this one a lot lately

I reccomend LL COOL J and Paris if you like those, pretty similair hard-hitting and personality driven 80s hip-hop

For me, It's A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul

90s>2010s>2000s>80s

too soon to judge for 2020s

For some reason i've been listening to Busta Rhymes' ''Bounce'' like 50 times today and i'm not even high. I might bump The Roots - Illadelph Halflife later, i listened to i a few times and lyrically and instrumentally it's like a 8 or 9 out of 10, so far. Also, question for everybody in the thread. Favorite Roots album? I've seen so many opinions.

For me, its How I Got Over.

Dog It is incredibly good.

Over TFA, Phrenology, Game Theory and Undun?
Not saying your choice is wrong (it's yours after all) but interesting nonetheless.
