Now that the dust has long settled, can we all agree that this was their best late-period album by far?

Maybe I'm missing something, I thought this was the general consensus for a while now
What do you even consider their late period? Their post 00's stuff?
Clockwork Angels seems to be the new favorite. But Snakes & Arrows has really grown on me, while I find myself enjoying Angels less with each listen, even though it has some excellent tracks.
clockwork angels is not only their best late-period album but their ONLY good late-period album.
Post-Counterparts I'd say
basically this, but snakes and arrows is decent.
It's alright but I'm going to have to go with Clockwork Angels. Very listenable album with a lot of great cuts, one of the greatest late career albums ever made IMO and a fine swan song for the band.
For me it goes Clockwork Angels, Vapor Trails, then Snakes & Arrows.
CA is miles better.
Clockwork Angels has exactly 4 good songs
I'd say so. I crashed my car while listening to "Armor & Sword".
Nothing beyond Signals is really THAT great. Mid tier at best.
NOBODY GETS TO THEIR HEAVEN WITHOUT A FIGHT
Listen to it again.
>filtered by the mid-80s trilogy
ngmi
S&A is their best since Hold Your Fire. However, if we consider the remixed version of Vapor Trails, then S&A still wins but only barely.
It’s just not as good.
Listen to them again.
What aboot Roll The Bones?
They are top kino, but just in a different way that Hemispheres is top kino
There are different kinds of kino
>Caravan
>BU2B
>The Anarchist
>Carnies
>Seven Cities of Gold
>The Wreckers
>Headlong Flight
>The Garden
user... that's more than 4 songs...
power windows is underrated. "mystic rhythms" is one of their best songs.
Agreed. Emotion Detector is great as well.
