I know it’s old news, but what do you guys think happened to Fantano? Dude supported #gamergate of all things.
Of course the catalyst was the Fader article. But what do you think happened?
>A.) He had some manager/agent/publicist tell him if he wanted to keep interviewing big musicians and have access to the industry then he had to become a SJW and disavow what he previously did.
>B.) While he was anti-SJW, he was still on the left. Even supported BLM for the most part, but wasn’t crazy. Maybe the Fader article was a realization for him that he was attracting the alt-right, and having a black wife made him realize he had to change.
I’m going to go with A, any YouTuber who ends up working close to the mainstream media has to change their views. Look what happened to H3H3.
It wasn’t even the political change for Fantano, that dude definitely became more poptimist with his reviews. Seriously, he started going a lot easier on pop reviews then he previously had been.
Also, don’t think it was the wife. I remember when he interviewed Joji he said his wife loved offensive humor.
It's simple. You don't get to millions of youtube subs and get to keep it without touting the party line.
