I’m looking for music that doesn’t seem possible for someone to actually make. Not in terms of how good it is, but how differently original it is. Something that feels outside of the realm of human creativity.
Look at My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Great album, of course, but it doesn’t go beyond the realm of human comprehension. It’s not like an album like this
The closest I’ve personally heard to this would be My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless, as the way this album uses the concept of sound and volume to its benefit feels genuinely otherworldly and mind blowing.
Honestly LYSF. Sure on paper you could explain it all, but the way it all works together is something that doesn't even feel possible that people made it yet it seems deeply human.
I don't think Loveless is on that same level but with that much reliance on sound design anything could sound "transcendental"
