It insists upon itself

>first 3 minutes of the song is pretty good and enjoyable
>then the rest 32 minutes of the song consists of self indulgent prog wankery
why every song on this album is like this? where is the radio edit?

how does a piece of music insist upon itself exactly? it just exists. What piece of good music wouldn't insist upon itself?
I'm not the world's biggest prog fan but prog critics only have like 3 words they can think up to criticize prog and they just regurgitate them over and over
>wankery
>indulgent
>pretentious

It's like after everybody coomed over the Time solo they thought they should make it a whole album

>5 songs, album runtime 42 minutes
>"every song is 32 minutes of self indulgent wankery"

>insist upon itself
Don’t worry too much about it. It’s a meaningless statement for a lazy bait thread.

my favourite floyd album

OP is right though. Very much a regression from TDSOTM, their only good album.

This nigga got filtered by the final cut haha

Nice try Roger

Animals is an underrated album tbqh

Best Floyd album

Take your Ritalin.
Imagine being filtered by Gilmour & Wrights solos on Dogs. Some of their best work.

and it's not even close. the next best pink floyd album is okay. animals is 10/10. i don't understand how or why they could make such a great album then go back to shit.

just take out the synth solos and it's improved

Nah, their core 4 are great though Animals is by the most personal album they made followed closely by The Wall ( that one's the least consistent of the 4 though )

Meddle was the last good Pink Floyd album

Yeah, I'd rather read the book

The guitar break near the end of Sheep is peak rock

Great prog doesn't have wankery though. Example: the dark side of the moon

Rent free, and sixty fucking years. Best Genre wins again, cope more, punkcuck.
