on avery island is a good album too, don't know if it's better. it is crazy how much the quality shoots from the random NMH tape releases to the albums, some of the tapes are pretty shitty ngl

but I also prefer The Microphones over NMH, and On Avery is similar in disjointed film and raw sound / structure to many The Microphones albums
