Keith Moon was way better
FAAACKING ell
There’s an essence that I can’t explain with Bonzo, same with Ward.
Peart is great but i don’t get the same feeling, idk. Bonzo might not be the best and maybe not even at the same level as the ones you’ve mentioned but Bonzo is my favourite
bonzo seemed more like he was "playing riffs" on the drums rather than just hitting them. peart is very technically proficient, but it's usually pretty soulless. bill ward and jeff porcaro did great work making the drums feel like an actual instrument with feel
This. He beat those drums like John beat his wife.

Baker is severely overrated. His reputation was only such because he had a basic grasp of theory & jazz composition but surrounded himself with R&B guys who knew even less so he seemed like a titan to them.
Not even the best of the big 3 of Bonzo, Paice and Ward
That being said Fool In the Rain is my favorite Zep song and favorite drum track ever
Bruford solos everyone in this thread.
>Baker is severely overrated
your dick is overrated.
I wouldn't agree that Baker's overrated, but of those early hard rock drummers, I'd argue Carmine Appice was the best even if he now gets overshadowed by Bonham and Paice.
all rock drummers couldn't hold the nuts of the most mediocre jazz drummer
Robert Wyatt’s better
