i will give this album a listen just because I like the cover art.

Vothana demo IV is good

The album art is the worst part desu. Good album if you're into funeral doom.

this is simultaneously the best melodeath album ever recorded and a 9/10 thrash album

What adds to the somber atmosphere is the fact that at least half of the band killed themselves.

LMAO I CANT BELIEVE BLACK METAL TARDS LISTEN TO THIS ERIC CARTMAN CLOWN SHIT.

after a long time of considering them mediocre, it's suddenly dawned on me that Capitalist Casualties aren't just one of the best PxV bands ever, but one of the all time great bands period. Lotta modern grind and hardcore acts have some things to learn from these guys' intensity.

I can’t believe you got filtered

>gets filtered
Also the large majority of people into the genre, even the ones into DSBM, find the vocals shit/offputting.

MISERY

Ignore the people saying you've been filtered. The vocals on this are legitimately horrendous.

>filtered

any bands with a sound similar to In Flames / Edge of Sanity?

>inb4 AtG and DT
i'm not a tourist

>inb4 EoS and In Flames have nothing to do with each other
they have the best composition and make the best use of the "melodic" part of melodeath of all the bands that i've heard so far.

Desultory and Sacrilege (Sweden) have been the closest things I've found, but MA is kinda shit to look through since it prioritises shared band members, geographical location and lyrical themes. Jesper Stromblad's new band was supposed to be the 2nd coming of In Flames but the two singles are just Come Clarity rehashed

Mustaine, Dave

lol I remember listening to a song from this record when I was like 12 and some dude on TF2 told me that it was some crazy suicidal dude's band and that they made the scariest music ever.
I remember putting on and thinking "this isn't scary. it sounds like earthworm jim screaming at people" and I never listened to it again.

Since you mention Sacrilege, I'm assuming you're more into the old In Flames (pre-Clayman). Check this out: youtube.com/watch?v=ChmkLakXk6Y

It gets closer to black metal-ish things kinda like Dissection, but it should be something you'd like.

Post essential Eric Cartman metal

You just don’t get it.
Also the riffs are great

Is everyone of you geeks watching that shitty Microsoft showcase or why is it so dead?

This plus the drumming is great too

I like the album, but the riffs are very front loaded. The title track in particular makes the rest of the album feel quite mediocre in comparison.

>This plus the drumming is great too
I never really found the drumming that special, also I'm pretty sure it's programmed drums.
