They're great and all but there's just something that's off, in a way that isn't with the best of Metallica

Youthanasia is objectively their best album

Vocals. James had the optimal voice for thrash and hard rock, whereas Dave sounds like a cartoon villain from a kids show.

You spelled rust in peace wrong

both of you spelled countdown to extinction wrong

Tenor>baritone
Dave wins. Easy

Honestly I can agree with this statement. Being their most versitile and fresh (at the time) album.

Megadeth lacks the groove that metallica has because they focus more on the technicality rather than the feeling. Holy Wars and Hanger 18 are great but they are so tech that they just fall flat

I agree and Youthansia is my favorite song by them. That verse riff is just so damn fun

wow very articulate and insightful. thank you for sharing.

Megadeth's worst guitarist (Mustaine) is better than Metallica's best guitarist (Hammett)

Imagine thinking Holy Wars or Hangar fall flat. Fool.

But the best of metallica was KEA

Fuck me this is so good

The more of you that I inspect

Different appeals. Metallica is rigid, deliberate, down-picking chugging galore. Megadeth is loose, spontaneous, flurry-of-notes with two jazz musicians on the first two albums.
