Are there any other albums that keep the metal sound fresh like this one? To me metal genre in general is very stale but Deftones' Around the Fur realy gets through me like no other. I feel like this album has a kind of novelty and heart put to it.

Bump
hybrid theory?
not metal
Still more metal than Black Sabbath
now you're just trolling
try pic related. it's not nu metal, but it scratches the same itch as early deftones
>metal sounds stale except this 20+ year old album
wtf do you even mean
it feels like when you have listened to metallica and slayer you have listened to every other metal album. it's very repetetive and generic
unironically this, black metal fans shit on it for being too non-traditional but it's one of my favorite things:
youtu.be
maybe metal isn't the right genre for you
