I'm not saying this doesn't happen in other groups of people but why are zoomzooms such fucking drones? They claim they can think for themselves but when the bell rings they all bundle up to suck hard on the new shiny fad.

I seriously think a lot of them just genuinely love her and didn't know she existed. To them she's the original vintage version of their modern favorites because modern indie and pop is hugely influenced by kate. Especially female artists. If they already love her derivatives why such a surprise they like the original?
She hits that spot for a really wide range of artists fans too. Even some modern hip hop like Tyler or Twigs etc. She's just really accessible to a lot of zoomers in a way she wasn't for most millennials
