that's the general point of the album, non-sense and a joke i don't think so because mike has a uncanny talent to make memorable melodies and rhythms, it's more like an experimentation of the ambient techno melodies with the complex sequencing by the likes of luke vibert or tom jenkinson.
never said the whole album wasn't that way. at the same time, I think it's undeniable that mike had a sense of humor when writing many of the tracks on it. doesn't devalue their artistry. don't think I'm familiar with either of those guys you referenced, I'll check them out
