coltrane, davis, mingus, the list goes on...

Giant Steps, Take Five, Monk's Music, Mingus Ah Um, Portrait in Jazz, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Bitches Brew, The Inner Mounting Flame

>a charlie brown christmas
didn't think that was a serious album musically, gonna try listen to it

lol

it's limited in being holiday centric, but otherwise it's quite good

Jazz is a wide genre. It is like asking for rock recommendations.I'll cover the best entry level stuff though

Cool Jazz - Dave Brubeck Quartet, Chet Baker
Latin Jazz - Chick Corea
Funk Jazz - Herbie Hancock
Spiritual Jazz - John Coltrane, Sun Ra
Psychedelic Jazz - Miles Davis
Swing Jazz - Charles Mingus
Guitar oriented Jazz - Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhardt
Jazz Fusion - Weather Report (Miles Davis too but I already recommended him)

Kenny G is all you need

>chick corea
And return to forever
>herbie hancock
Until he cut his hair

I'll never not recommend crosswinds as one of the greatest pieces of jazz fusion

Pharoah Sanders - Karma is definitely the easiest to understand and enjoy if you are previously more used to Rock music and it's various subgenres

> if you are previously more used to Rock
Also mahavishnu orchestra (before the first split)
Billy is so good

miles davis - get up with it

if you aren't into christmas music listen to this
