I think people overlook the fact that the pikes are kind of like a gaming session for Buckethead. He sits down with his guitar, starts noodling around, comes up with a couple of riffs and chords on the spot, then improvises on top of them and bam, there you have your pike. For whatever reason people have this weird expectation that everything an artist makes they're making it with the purpose of achieving something higher, but then you have guys like Buckethead who's a genuine autist with too much power who just wants to chill recording at home and he'll share his weekly jams just for fun and to make some money scraps.
