Songs From The Big Chair

'''post-punk'''' fans once again showing their stupidity
ass licking a fake genre

Yeah but he always did + the dreams in which he's dying are the best he ever had.

disintegration has no bad tracks
big chair is half great tracks and half filler

Robert Smith has one of the most insufferably obnoxious voices in the entirety of popular music, so the choice is clear.

>t. disinterestedly skimmed the full album just once

A lot of the moments in disintegration are just inexplicably retarded. Perfect example is the guitar wanking intro smeared all over lovesong. Just tons of similarly amateurish creative decisions marring otherwise fantastic atmospheres

10 years ago I would have said Disintegration easily, but now it's Songs from The Big Chair (I'd much rather listen to Pornography than Disintegration anyway).

Disintegration is more unique and cooler, but Songs from the big chair is far better-crafted while not as adventurous

Well according to Any Forums it's Disintegration

I see, so SFTBC it is!

Is daydream nation actually that good of an album? I’ve literally only heard that one song

The Smiths and New Order are better than either of them...

I think it kind of fucking sucks desu

It's decent, and Teenage Riot isn't even the best song on it. However, there are actually a few Sonic Youth albums I like significantly more than it, including Sister, Dirty, Bad Moon Rising, and EVOL. I think the reason Daydream Nation gets so much acclaim is that it's beautiful, consistent, expansive, and not that abrasive. Virtually all of SY's other major albums are less consistent and more abrasive. So Daydream Nation is maybe their big artistic statement. It's just that its highs don't match the highs of their other, maybe less consistent, albums. Especially Sister.
