Great band. Albums were a bit spotty, but always had some slamming songs. Steve and Josh are both great drummers and added lots even with different styles. I think they were as good as any band out of the Seattle "grunge" scene. They may have been a bit heavy for the average consoomer of Nirvana-like teen pop angst... which is not a slight against Nirvana. Tad was just so fucking heavy in comparison. Albini vs Vig vs Endino productions.... Endino captured them the best IMO. Infrared Ridinghood is brutal.

Playing with Tad brought out a different element in his playing IMO. Killer bass riffs. I've only heard a small sample of his playing in Purple Strange which also has Jack Endino on guitar. I need to listen to more. The little bit I heard was pretty good.
