This isn't about BBC or their music. Over the past few days Orbits have engaged in several fanwars and desu this just isn't the time for it.
First, I hate to defend BBC but they did not decide what venues were used for the tour. My Music Taste did and since they're also handling Dreamcatcher's tour some of the venues are the same. There's no logical connection between being mad about smaller venues and blatantly insulting Dreamcatcher. But it happened. As someone who ults Loona AND Dreamcatcher this is extremely disappointing. Both fandoms stepped out of line but the issue stems from Orbits internalizing perceived wrongs and incorrectly laying blame.
In regards to Queendom 2:
WJSN won legitimately. Period. They placed highly in every episode and had consistently high views and streams. MNet was awful for not counting Loona's opening performance desu. Having a minimum score of 0 in any category is setting up certain groups for failure(especially with C-19 going on) or at least ensuring that this kind of scenario will play out again. Again, let's emphasize that WJSN is in no way to blame for that. They worked so hard and deserved to win. Attacking them for something they had no control over is oppositional to the principles of Loona. Loona wants to bring people from around the world together to enjoy music and promote self love and confidence. That's something I want all the Orbits that are hurting right now to keep close to their hearts. Seeing Loona on the winning stage meant everything to me and it just feels bad seeing other Orbits take away that WJSN didn't deserve to win.
That's all. It's been such a happy day but I'm hollowed out right now.

i was rooting for wjsn and i'm ecstatic that they won, but desu it was unfair of mnet to give loona zero points on the first round, i honestly thought mnet would compensate it in some way, because they DID perform it, just not live (and it ended up being my fave performance from that round even)
i love loona and i would be also be happy if they won, they're so talented and such sweethearts that it's hard to believe the ppl saying such nasty things about exy and wjsn claim to be their fans because i'm sure the girls would be embarrassed of their behavior

As an Orbit, of course I wanted Loona to win, and when were top 2 expectation rises and it hurt more when they didn't win.
But please stop fighting with other fandoms, it just hurt Loona's good name. You're dragging their name into the mud. Plus, it's not WJSN fault Loona lost. It's MNET, even though the girls gain the max point in the final, we still can't beat WJSN. Yeah, it's not fair that we didn't get any point in the 1st round, but again that's not WJSN fault, it's Mnet.
The girls did great, and orbits did great as well. You push Loona from 6th to 5th to 2nd. So stop ruining Loonas and Orbits name. Let's focus on June for the comeback.

Loona attracted a lot of pretentious fans who act like they're too refined to listen to their newer songs. They always exaggerate how low quality their newer songs got.
Imagine saying Paint the Town was the biggest disappointment when there are other companies (who won't be named) that literally record the sound of a plane crashing into a monster truck junkyard and call it music.
The good thing is this incessant bitching has the opposite effect on me. I like rooting for underdogs and nugus. Unfortunately, they disband too much and they don't always make consistently good songs.
I realized Loona is good for all those things at this point. Their record sales are stable and they probably won't disband any time soon. And every time thousands of clenched anus fans or randos call a new Loona release the worst song they ever heard since Friday by Rebecca Black, I get satisfaction out of actually liking the song and rooting for music that is underappreciated for no good reason.
tldr: Loona is perfect because their music and comebacks are good enough to keep fans supporting them, but disliked enough for me to feel like a special snowflake for stanning them.

A lot of fans have a weird obsession with Korean beauty standards. They'll see that one idol adheres to 90+% and say things like 'omg queen' or 'wbk insert idol is the prettiest', 'its been proven that hes perfect', then turn around and see an idol that maybe only meets 50% and say 'Korean beauty standards are ridiculous anyway', 'only a plastic doll could possibly fit all of those requirements', 'fuck them, insert idol is making their own standards', calling them toxic and impossible. I get that the fans are trying to make it as if their idols are gorgeous with or without matching the beauty standards, but they can't say someone's perfect because of how well they match the standards and also call the standards unrealistic in the same breath.
Korean beauty standards aren't everything, but they aren't nothing either. If someone happens to fit 100% of the standards then they'd be the embodiment of what is considered perfect in a certain standard, but if they don't, that doesn't automatically make them ugly. You can call your faves beautiful without outright calling beauty standards trash - in doing that, you're bringing down those who happen to meet the requirements just to defend your faves.

" They look better as five " / " the choreography looks better with out her "
Well of course it does , odd number group choreographies are always better than even numbered one. Some of you guys think of this comment as a drag against garam but I could remove Eunchae from the group and the result will be same.
" The girls look happy"/"happier with out her "
What are they gonna do ? Cry on camera about it ?They smile the same way they used to smile when garam was present. In fact they have more of a reason to present a happier face to the camera than before.
Le sserafim is not old enough for Garam's absence to be truly felt. The only part where I somewhat miss her is when she begins the song. Yunjin does not have as full of a voice as garam so the beginning of Fearless feels a little less impactful. Also ,, more lines for Eunchae wohoo.

I don't know what to do about it anymore.
When I was much younger getting into kpop (at 12) I genuinely loved my faves and held them to a high pedestal.
Whenever rumors broke out I was completely disappointed in them and unstanned (till date I am not a fan of any group) only to find out later that such accusations were fake and I just jumped on the bandwagon of hate like everyone else ( read Woojin and Stays I honestly had to leave that fandom )
Overtime I grew tired of it all, and whenever rumors about bullying or sexual assault get out I just shut my mouth on the internet and watch from behind the scenes. I want to be a lawyer when I'm much older, so I have been studying public opinion slot and it just seems like people immediately hate on the accused with flimsy evidence. ( Kim Garam has my support on this one but this would be the first and last time I'll say it)
I was assaulted and bullied in the past, and watching so many people just come out and lie and be believed on the internet has taken a toll on me.
Everyone keeps on going 'believe the victim' without truly trying to find out WHO the victim is and it's getting annoying.

People will talk constantly about how we need to stop sexualizing idols (true), but the INSTANT there is a photoshoot not designed to maximize attractiveness for the male gaze, people start talking about firing the stylists
This is about the Kep1er photoshoot in Vogue. It's playing out the same way the Iz*One Vogue photoshoot did - it's a high fashion concept and the makeup is not standard 'pretty' idol makeup. I think it's awesome to see these types of photoshoots! It can really show the range of the model, and it's refreshing to see in a world filled with almost identical 'wow these girls are pretty, aren't they?' photoshoots.
Where are the "don't sexualize the idols" voices now? Because most of what I am hearing is "These pictures aren't as attractive to me as normal idol photos, so I think they should fire the stylists" - which sounds suspiciously like sexualizing the idols to me...

if koreaboo posts another article about an idol's "tRuE pErSoNaLiTy" i will self immolate
title is pretty self explanatory
everytime an idol commits an act of basic human decency they're suddenly exposing their true personality and it's so fucking annoying
i mean first of all, you can't base an entire personality on ONE single act, that's literally forcing an idol to fit into that standard you've set for them.
secondly, HOW MANY OF THE ARTICLES ARE ABOUT THE SAME PERSON OH MY GOD
they're 90% about bts and it's ALWAYS the maknae line, they're amazing people but omg please stop before i cry
if you search "true personality" in the koreaboo search bar you'll find 90% of them about one single idol which means that they just update their personality everyday or wtv?? is that what you're trying to say koreaboo

People who judge an entire group's future based on one comeback or debut track that doesn't appeal to them have to be insane
Occasionally, I encounter such messages like "oh group x's latest comeback/debut song didn't appeal much to me, I think they will eventually fall off like this" especially for groups that just debuted is nuts.
Sure, good debuts improve your presence in the industry by ten-folds but a lot of artists (actually most) don't give their peak performance during their debut, it's always a later comeback which makes their presence concrete so whining about that is bootless.

I don’t know if anyone has seen this or maybe it’s just the groups I stan, but I always see posts talking about their waist size? They’ll constantly post photos of them saying “I’m a girl and he has a smaller waist than me!” “His waist is so small, oh my god!” Or they’ll say stuff like “I just know he uses the last hole in his belt.” Or if an idol pokes holes through their belt to fit them, they’ll obsess over that. I even see fans compare two idols waist size to see who’s skinnier.
I don’t know if I’m overreacting, but this behavior is so weird to me. I don’t think we should comment so much on idols bodies, especially not in this way, since it’s just plain weird and invasive? But also because it’s no secret idols go through a lot when it comes to body image.
Edit: I would like to point out my examples might be bad or messy. Members like Jungkook have willingly showed his abs and that’s fine? But my point about comparing bodies is mostly about him and his members and that will never be right. Over analyzing people(not just BTS, all people) seeing how much they use of their belt, etc are very weird and specific standards to me. Degrading yourself and comparing your waists to idols is also toxic.
Edit 2: I’m sorry for the excessive editing, but my first mistake was having examples. It took away from my original point and became an ATEEZ this happened that debate. Literally was never meant to be just an ATEEZ post, this is just generally. Take my point as it is.
