If this really was her peak then I'm a bit underwhelmed. Did you guys hype her up because you thought she was hot? Genuine question.

vespertine is peak bjork
she's massively overrated.
her best work is with the Sugarcubes and even then they've only got one good album
>Did you guys hype her up because you thought she was hot?
Yes, if you haven't figured it out yet this is the case for all 'art-pop' star females. Bush is the only other offender as bad though.

Listen to Medulla
her only good album is Post and thats because its by the 808 State dude, shes basically a singer in his album.
Her peak is Vespertine, and her end is Medülla. No reason to pay attention to her after that besides them titties.
Her peak is Vulnicura.
Ironically the album is missing the version of All is Full of Love that actually secured her reputation

but to answer your question her "peak" is more often considered to either be Vespertine or Post.
Debut-chads rise up!
It's avant-garde music. It's supposed to challenge existing aesthetic and musical conventions, which is why you probably didn't like it. As it turns out, some people do like it.
It doesn't change the fact that she can't fucking sing, and her voice is grating outside of rock. Her voice isn't a turnoff like Joanna Newsom's is, but it's hard to get used to, and I say this having bought and listened to all three Sugarcubes albums in the early 90's before Debut came out.
Avant garde=/=good
She's hit or miss for me. It's interesting music, but I definitely am not listening to her often though I'm sure that's the point. Her music isn't exactly radio friendly.
fpbp
It's literally pop music.
You must be straight, only gays can appreciate Björk.
>Björk
>can’t sing
get off my fucking board. Jesus Christ.
>everyone getting filtered by medulla, volta, biophilia, vulnicura and utopia
maybe try Any Forums instead?
peak is Post, though
Homogenic isn't her peak. It (or Vespertine depending on who you ask) is her best attempt at "high art". But that's not the thing she excelled at. Bjork excelled at pop and I don't mean that in a derogatory sense. She made alt / art pop which was catchy, felt viscerally good, and was miles ahead of her mainstream contemporaries. Case in point: either Post or Debut is her peak, but probably Post.
