idk if I'd call this song "suicide fuel" but it's definitely depressing

Fuck off never going to listen
not really suifuel levels of sad, but it's the saddest album in my collection. the saddest song is some random song from yume nikki, which is the real suifuel for me, but apparently it's cringe to like OSTs
Two songs from the same album. The albums origins make it all the more intense.

OSTs arent cringe, its just a lot of people are dumb and don't realize its just normal music.
Albums are often higher quality though, even if you can enjoy OSTs, since it needs more production to be good
Cigarettes after sex

???
song isn't really sad but its very melancholic and emotional
eh, it's complicated. songs in a game are only used as a tool (unless the game is about the songs, like sayonara wild hearts). in an album, it's the only thing that you have, so it makes sense in this regard. of course there are exceptions, when games have really good soundtracks, or have songs that weren't intentionally made to be in a game.
the tricky part is "it need more production to be good". i don't think it does, since albums and games both can have songs made by one or more professional musicians with years, maybe decades of experience
also, what is "quality"? it's different for everyone, but if you're talking in a technical sense, then no. both albums and games can have songs with the same quality
what i meant by what i said is somewhat what you said, being the sound is all that matters in an album, so usually soundtracks aren't held to as high standards as an album.
For quality, i meant like, production and listening quality in general contexts. For example, you could soundtrack a game with what would generally be considered amateur music, incidental music, or music that REALLY fits the game, and if you listen to it alone and compare it to an album, then yes, it'd be less quality. (but its also without the context of the game! This makes good soundtracks even more impressive sometimes then albums.)
