Also,
Don't have any direct confirmation of this but this was also around the same time pop music overall got arguably more formulaic and overproduced than it had ever been to that point, and record labels gained more control over what trends they could force artists to follow to get maximum listeners, as the listeners themselves were numbed down by increased access to music during the years to come without having to buy CDs or concert tickets.

Go to the doctor.

I am the doctor.

I wanted to prove you wrong but I genuinely can't think of any. Fuck.

They exist but it's pretty much only literally whos whom no one would guess with.
All the good new artists are largely unknown because the big labels ignore actual talent now that technology and actually braindead youths took over pop culture.
In most cases: Catchy chorus + easy, familiar sound with a pretty face + oh so relatable lyrics written by Max Martin or whoever = Permission to be shilled all over the radio, it's such a shitshow these days.

Lana's first album was released in 2010
Does that count?

Technically that's 12 years ago.

As with all date measurements, we should give ourselves some wiggle room; +/- 10 years, ok?

Uhhh, OP?
