I love Behringer for making synth elitists cope, seethe, mald and dliate
The hilarious part about it is that if behringer didnt exist, they would be the ones complaining about how expensive vintage equipment is
Their next plan is to lsunch s free DAW with free top of the line synth emulations, and i imagine, studio effects too.
RIP vst developers lol
>$99 analog synth
it's over for vintagefags
This one is $60
All this thanks to China, never forget.
do the chinese make bootleg synths?
I just want a sub phatty so bad, bros.
Here's to hoping it'll work on Linux as well.
So, what's the deal between synth community and Behringer?
>*60 cycle hums in your path*
>Y-YOU CAN'T JUST CLONE THINGS WHICH HAVE BEEN OUT OF PATENT FOR DECADES
Literally who objects to this? It has to be like, synth "collectors" and Moog employees, right?
There is no synth "community," just competitors angry that Behringer is eating them for breakfast.
I've never met someone who actually hates Behringer. They're just considered kind of uncool
Original designs would be more interesting. Analog needs up to date digital parts too
I mean when a Behringer product catches my attention and research that produuct, majority of people on sites like Gearslutz write that their quality is garbage. Is it a real concern or people who spent thousand of dollars for a discontunied or vintage synth are butthurt that you can replicate same sound for a dirt cheap product?
the idea of their product is typically very good, but there are quality compromises in manufacturing that they choose to make to drive costs down. But since they are wholly captive manufacturers with their own lines, there's an argument that they are in a better position to do stuff like that then some other company who rents line time on some other production company's line.
I wish they were making all this shit when I was into hardware. The appeal of collecting a bunch of shit is lost on me now, especially with how good VSTs are.
Lately behringer has been taking suggestions from facebook comments. Dont know if thats legit or preplanned but seems cool, people are easing up to the brand. They answer every question too.
The hardcore commumity aka muffwiggler are all in another level, they dont think too much about this. They will when behringer clones buchla or serge or emu.
Smd circuits are all exactly same quality.
Weird. That OP pic little CS must be great to toy with on the forest or beach or any outdoor trip, with headphones.
I'm a pianist and new to the synth world. I almost dove in headfirst but I literally don't see the point when high quality VSTs are free or much cheaper than vintage hardware. A high quality orchestral library for Kontakt is often only like half the price of an 80s Korg FM synth or whatever
For me it's that the interface and the physical buttons of a good synth helps your creative process.
Can you make the same sounds with a vst? Probably.
Will you make the same sounds with a vst by chance? Maybe not? What am I? Some kind of time wizard?
The main appeal is having a knob for everything. You can get a MIDI controller, but those are a bit of a pain because you have to figure out a labelling system or try to remember all your mappings (hence why I'm building a 64 knob controller with a display for each knob). But MIDI is a fucking gay, jitter filled protocol and having to record from hardware means dealing with audio latency. VSTs are just so much more convenient.
>theyre even mogging the fucking Volcas now
Uli is a madman, crashing the synth market with no survivors
