Why does this board hate playlists so much?

>muh albums
Not an excuse. What if there’s a certain song I want to listen to? Would I have to sit through 8 whole tracks just to get to the one song I want to listen to? Why do you have to overcomplicate things?

And what if there are multiple songs that I really want to listen to at one point? Why open up different albums and find the one song and then do that again when I can just store them all in one convenient package?

Also, you should be THANKFUL for playlists because back in the day, the only alternative was to literally tape songs from the radio on cassette and listen to that same loop over and over again, which is not only exhausting, but EXPENSIVE. I’d listen to my playlists on SPOTIFY any day of the year than go through that boomer shit.

>inb4 muh zoomer kys
Deal with it, bitch. Zoomers rule

Why would you want that?

Not at the exact same time, but what if there are multiple songs I would like on rotation?

I don't know about the rest but me personally I do not like niggers.

If there’s a single song I want to listen to, I just listen to that one song. But playlists are useless.

Listen to an album. If these songs are from different artists, well, shit, I find it difficult to just jump from one sound to another, unless the music is really similar and somehow related.
I don't actually mind listening to individual songs, as I go out quite often and I don't have time to listen to a full album while on the road, but generally speaking, I try to find albums without bad songs.

Also the album format is not even anything to gawk at literally some shit created by musicc business to sell more shit there is literally no artistic difference between an album and any other collection of songs

>la bla bla bla I'm HECKING VALID!
Kill yourself zoomer. Go back to Facebook to share your shitty playlist with the same records all over them.

Playlists are fine but albums flow better.

that being said im usually playing singles when im with people, when im alone is when im listening to albums

The most worthless post in this thread. How does it feel that a “zoomer” is more coherent and reasonable than your crusty ass?

So true! Waitress! Give this man a drink!
Have my upvote my friend!

WOW! So valid!

You contribute nothing to this post other than pointless whining. Kill yourself.

Mixes flow better than albums. Albums might have a couple tracks where the tracklisting matters but the whole "album narrative arc" is basically a myth artists just put everything they made in a certain time period together

i don't hate playlists. i love playlists and make them a lot. here's one i just finished that's six hours of disco and house

tl;dr

You are a dumb zoomer and you don't understand yet that an album is a record of that artist or band in that time and place.

You’re stupid

I don't think so

Nothing wrong with making your own playlists, people have been doing it since cassette tapes, and if you think about it a live concert is a playlist. Don't listen to machine-generated lists though, they're all crap.
